These terms apply when you visit the VLUM store, create an account or place an order. Please read them carefully. By using our store, you agree to them.

Using our store
In these terms, "VLUM", "we", "us" and "our" mean VLUM®, and "you" means anyone who visits our store or buys from us. Our store runs on Shopify.
To place an order, you must be at least the age of majority where you live, or have permission from a parent or guardian. You're responsible for keeping your account details secure and for any activity under your account.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information and is part of these terms.

Our products
We work to describe and show our products accurately. Colors, textures and finishes can look different depending on your screen, lighting and skin tone, and packaging may change over time.
- Check the ingredients: always read the full ingredient list before use, especially if you have allergies or sensitive skin.
- Patch test first: test a new product on a small area of skin and stop using it if irritation occurs.
- Not medical advice: our products are cosmetics and are not meant to diagnose, treat or cure any condition. Results vary from person to person.

Orders & pricing
All prices are shown in US dollars. Taxes and shipping are calculated at checkout. Prices and availability can change without notice.
Placing an order is an offer to buy. We may refuse or cancel an order, for example if a product is out of stock, if there's an error in its price or description, or if we suspect fraud. If we cancel an order you've already paid for, we'll refund you in full.
You agree to give us current, complete and accurate purchase and account information, and to keep it up to date.

Shipping & refunds
How we ship orders and handle returns is covered in our Shipping & Returns page. Which orders qualify for a refund is covered in our Refund Policy. Both are part of these terms.

Content & reviews
The VLUM name, logo, product designs, photos and all other content on our store belong to VLUM or our licensors. Please don't copy, reproduce or use them without our written permission.
If you send us reviews, photos, comments or other content, you give us permission to use, edit and share it in connection with our store and marketing. You confirm the content is yours to share and doesn't break any law or anyone else's rights.

Things you can't do
When using our store, you agree not to:
- Use the store for any unlawful purpose, or to break any law
- Buy products to resell them without our permission
- Upload viruses or harmful code, or interfere with how the store works or how secure it is
- Scrape, copy or collect data from the store without permission
- Pretend to be someone else, or post false, misleading or offensive content
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Disclaimers & liability
Our store and products are provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we make no warranties beyond those stated on the product or in our policies. We don't promise the store will always be available or free of errors.
As far as the law allows, VLUM is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages from your use of our store or products. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product involved.
You agree to indemnify VLUM against claims that arise from your breach of these terms or your misuse of our store.
Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under consumer protection laws where you live.

Governing law & changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll post the updated version on this page. If you keep using our store after we post changes, you accept the updated terms.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
